TENNIS

Chairman: Bill Schick

[Tennis]Our tennis group was initiated in 1979 with the intention of playing doubles matches twice a week on a regular basis.

We are presently playing at the Rinconada Tennis Courts which are located in Rinconada Park. Courts are located on Hopkins Street off Newell. Embarcadero to Newell to Hopkins.

Join us at 8:00 AM on Mondays and Thursdays for good exercise and a fun time.

We generally occupy two to three courts. Our doubles play is challenging, great fun and makes for good fellowship to be enjoyed by all. There is no charge to players. Just bring your own equipment and we will help you get started with our group.

We draw cards for matchups and everyone gets to play.

All three Palo Alto branches play and our usual attendance is between 4 and 8 players.

As mentioned our group started in 1979 and it is noteworthy to mention that several SIR members who joined then are still active players. Please note that if you are interested in longevity try playing tennis with us.
