welcome new members, and hope you will join if

FROM THE HELM
Now that summer has officially started for the CS owners we can get those
boats in the water for those who live in the colder climates unable to enjoy
the luxury of sailing all year round. THE GULL'S NESTSocial Activities
PORT JEFFERSON, NY The details for the first CSOA rendezvous have been worked out and are in the newsletter. If anyone has any questions about the trip or accommodations is please feel free to call or send message via e-mail to us so we can help you further get there and enjoy. We have a boat coming from New Brunswick N.F. and six CS sailors making the trip from there. There should be some interesting stories from their trip to N.Y.

The Case Against Isolators
This is an interesting problem solving solution by Gary Schwartz of 'Pumpkin'
CS36.
After noticing the batteries always seemed to need charging after a weekend,
Gary looked into what the problem could be. Please read this very insightful
solution through Gary's electrical experience. It could be a big help to
others who might have experienced the same situation.
Charlie Mayne CS30 'Sprite'
Charlie found a couple of inexpensive tools to pass along to the others that
are helpful in tight places.
Charlie explains in detail how to use these tools and where to et them. Read
his article on page 8 and use these tools to check your batteries.
Sailing Trivia
Don't let this little guy stump you on your sailing abilities.
CS 50
Thanks to Rick Itenson CS36M who help shed some light on the CS 50 I came across in the old Sailing World issue. Rick offered information about the 50. It was designed by German Frers and was a custom boat built for CS Yachts with only one being built.
CS34
Tony Castro said in his conversation with Anton that only about 30 of the
CS34 boats were built and they were the last boats produced for CS Yachts.
This is a really sweet design boat. There's a lot of boat in the 34's interior
and a nice performer.
