After a forty year career in law enforcement, Marvin retired from the Stanford University Department of Public Safety in 2001 where he served as chief for thirty years.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 59 years, Esther; his daughters, Laura, Dena, Susan and Jennifer, his sons-in- law Remy and Bradley and his grandchildren Rebecca, Kelly, Sebastien and Emmanuelle.
He will be remembered for his professionalism and leadership skills on campus, passion for books, his wood craftsmanship, notorious poker games and his devotion to friends and family.
